    How long is the FMC® Certification valid in Alabama?

    Yes. The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) requires that at least one certified food protection manager be on-site during food preparation in any establishment that serves food.

    What are Alabama's Food Safety Regulations?

    The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) requires a designated "person in charge" (PIC) with a valid certification from an accredited food safety program needs to be on-premises during all operating hours.     Priority Category 3 and 4 establishments require ANAB-CFP certification. To become a certified food manager, individuals must pass a food protection manager certification exam from an ANAB approved provider such as FMC® Food Managers Certification by EduClasses®.
